Veit’s dive team completed a critical marine project at the Castle Rock Powerhouse. The project entailed installing 125 concrete precast weir segments downstream of the powerhouse discharge. The purpose of these weir segments is to better dissipate flow rate from and preserve the river bottom of the hydroelectric facility. Through the efforts of management teams and their excellent planning, these segments were able to be installed as designed, while staying on schedule and doing so without any injuries. The dive team went above and beyond to work with the facility owner, general contractor and crew members to reduce any associated risk and improve performance.
