Veit contracted with Adolfson & Peterson to perform earthwork, utilities, demolition, driven piling, and earth retention for a new apartment building and parking ramp in Minneapolis, MN. The site hosts a new parking ramp and two residential buildings, one 6-story apartment and one 7-story apartment.
Veit’s responsibilities included the demolition of an existing parking ramp, erosion control, site grading, footing/wall excavation/backfill, vapor system installation, and contaminated soil remediation. Other work included laying sand cushions for buildings, constructing a base for sidewalks and pavements, driven piling, and earth retention. Our foundations team drove 540 steel piles for the new parking ramp and building B. Our Utility crews worked on the storm sewer, storm systems, water lines, and sanitary sewer installation.
