What was supposed to be a 4-week operator job has turned into 16+ years and a career I’m proud of. Today, I’m General Superintendent of Utilities. Veit’s management support and family-like team culture make it a place where people want to stay and grow.
Joining Veit was one of the best career decisions I’ve ever made. The leadership is top-notch, the people truly care, and you’re never just a number. Hard work is recognized, opportunities are endless, and everyone feels like family here.
I’ve had many proud moments at Veit — some tied to jobsite wins, and others more personal. But what truly inspires me these days is watching our newer employees and future leaders earn their stripes and being able to support them along the way. It doesn’t get any better than that!

Veit is proud to sponsor two Sandbox programs that are creating meaningful, hands-on pathways into the trades:
In St. Paul, SPPS Operating Engineer Pathways students are gaining real-world experience with heavy equipment through the new Sandbox, in partnership with @local49iuoe. Along the way, they’re earning high school, college, and apprenticeship credit—building a strong foundation for careers in operating engineering and construction. Designed to expand access and opportunity, this program is helping students take the first step toward a rewarding future.
