3M BLDG Condensate Renewal

Project Overview

Veit was hired to do the excavation work for NAC Mechanical in order to install a critical condensate line for the 3M Center Building 275.

Our crews performed all site removals and provided safe excavation for NAC Mechanical to install a new condensate mechanical pipe. Once the pipe was installed, we backfilled the excavation and were in charge of all the subcontractors involved in restoring the site to its existing condition.

We used a 325 Cat Excavator and a 239 Cat Track Loader to complete the project.

Occupied Campus

3M corporate in Maplewood is a very busy campus with over 15,000 personnel on site at any given time. Because of that, strategic phasing of the project was crucial in order to allow 3M personnel to go about their business during the course of the project.

02.

Project Schedule Coordination

After opening up a stretch of excavation, our crews dropped back to assist NAC Mechanical with any hoisting or rigging they needed in order to help speed up their installation process. The more we helped NAC to speed up their process, the faster the project advanced to completion.
