In the spring of 2020, we began a contract with the Construction Management Association to perform the civil construction for a new subdivision. This 79-lot residential subdivision included 4 commercial lots nestled between Loomis Road and 112th Street on the south side of Ryan Road.
Our role in the development included mass excavation, site grading, road and sidewalk construction, and modification of a country highway to accommodate the new development. Along with the earthworks, we installed an entirely new public infrastructure with over 40,000 feet of underground piping, including sanitary, sewer, stormwater, and watermain, allowing for easy connections to municipal services.
In addition to the earthwork and utilities, we contributed to on-site stormwater detention capacity with the construction of stormwater ponds, which allows commercial land buyers to maximize buildable acreage.
The new subdivision is evidence of the City of Franklin’s pro-business attitude. Only 5 miles from Milwaukee’s General Mitchell Airport, Franklin has access to 3 interstate Highways and is just 30 miles from the Wisconsin-Illinois border. The city has established a streamlined development approval process, making Franklin one of the fastest-growing communities in Wisconsin.
